SPECIAL GUEST: Aaron Jerome
DJ Vadim is one hardworking Russian, and as any ex-Gulag commandant will no-doubt tell you, they can be an industrious old bunch even at the worst of times.
Founder of Jazz Fudge in 1995, A&R man, producer, DJ, promoter, record collector, radio presenter, occasional painter, writer, and in-house producer/DJ, Vadim has grafted his way through the last decade to massive critical and commercial acclaim. From his albums to his live projects, few people have devoted more to their art.
This night will see the fruits of his latest album “The Sound Catcher“, an album he considers to be “by far my most concise, precise and best work to date”. It is the spirit of Brazilian carnival crossed with a reggae soundsystem and Brooklyn, New York with an international tour schedule that dwarfs even British Airways flight plan. “The Sound Catcher” is a truly international offering.
Its everything you’ve come to expect from the 4 Weetabix a day powerhouse DJ/producer/musical incendiary and so much more, with touches of disco and King Tubby-esque dub moments varied with brushes of blues, soul, rap and urban grime bedlam with a double-time bounce, ambitiously combining all these influences whilst managing to make them all fit like a glove.
Joining Vadim on this night of hard partying and celebration will be a host of live guests and DJs including Aaron Jerome, so you can expect a show packed full with stage surprises, as well as everything you could wish from the great man himself.
This is going to be an unforgettable night of valedictory dance-floor-shaking of obscene proportions. Get down early…
