Christmas has arrived early here at Rocketscience Towers and you hold in your hands a very limited sampler of Zero dB’s upcoming remix album, “Heavyweight Gringos“.

This CD showcases some of the most club-friendly results from the album to devastating effect, and if these mixes don’t get your party started, it’s possible you’ve been booked for a wake and no one told you!

Stepping up first is DIBABA (Fluid Ounce / F-Com), who took “Bongos, Bleeps & Basslines” out to Stockholm, tipped a few vodkas down its neck, tied it to a tree and threw snowballs in its face until it cried. Zero dB thought that they’d already given this track the hardest edge they possibly could, only to be proven wrong by this deranged monster emerging from the blizzard.

Next up is A.T.F.C. (who is credited with making Fatboy Slim‘s “Right Here, Right Now” reach no 11 in the UK charts back in 1999, earning him an appearance on Top Of The Pops) who has turned “Te Quiero” into a bass heavy bastard of a track that will have the kids fighting to get to the dance floor. If that isn’t enough, GOETZ (remixer of Coldcut and many more) also gets busy on “Bongos, Bleeps & Basslines”, turngin it into a bashing conga-house and alto-sax mash up, with metallic atmospherics and an insistent drive towards Euphoria (you’ll find it on the map just after “Further”). This will no doubt turn into anthemic rave-monster given half a chance!
